The Innovative Leaders Institute (ILI) is a year-long training and mentoring experience for educators led by some of the top innovative school leaders in Tennessee.

The ILI provides participants opportunities to network with other building-level leaders from across the state, visit innovative Tennessee STEM Designated Schools to examine different models of STEM integration, and share best practices and resources with the expectation of having an immediate impact on leader practice and preparedness for STEM School Designation. This year’s cohort has been designed to continue whether virtually or in-person and to help leaders build capacity within their settings to not just survive the current crisis but thrive and be well-positioned for whatever happens next. For more information about this year's cohort, please see the 2021-2022 ILI Cohort Model.

The Innovative Leaders Institute has been approved for TASL credit. Administrators can receive 30 hours of TASL credit with the completion of the Innovative Leaders Institute.

Applications for the 2023 cohort of the Innovative Leaders Institute are open.
