Through local innovation, schools across the state have created practices in STEM education that are worthy of being shared with others. The Network has placed a high priority on sharing education strategies and practices and has developed an online method of delivering these tools and resources to others across the state. The TSIN “Tools and Resources” page provides free, open access to STEM related curriculum, lesson plans, videos, activities, strategies, and more.

Best Practices in Professional Development

ETSU, through its Center of Excellence for Mathematics and Science Education and, more recently, through the ETSU Northeast Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub, has provided professional development for hundreds of math and science teachers, at all levels. Our professional development has focused on improving instructional strategies/practices with the ultimately goal of improving student achievement.
